  • Nylon cord (25-100′ of 1/8″ to 3/16″)

  • Personal prescription medicine (To be turned into camp nurse)

Basic Camping Equipment

  • Pack (internal or external; hipbelt; good fit, comfortable)
  • Rubbermaid tote or similar/ Large Duffel bag 
  • Waterproof pack cover (or large garbage bag)
  • Warm sleeping bag in stuff sack (20F rated; lightweight)
  • Foam or inflatable sleeping pad (no air mattresses)
  • Flashlight (with extra batteries and bulb)
  • Water bottle(s) (1-2 liters)
  • Personal first aid kit
  • Plastic garbage bags (at least 1)
  • Plastic zip bags for gear (to hold small items)
  • Insect repellent
  • Sunscreen (we recommend waterproof SPF 50+)
  • Small notebook & pencil
  • Small sewing repair kit
  • Small amount of duct tape
  • Daypack
